The End of Fall!

This season and term have flown by! There have been many fun memories and lots of work that's been done over this short time. I've learned somewhere around two hundred trees in my plants class. Learned how to push and pull space in my art class as well as painting with charcoal (adding water to charcoal). The 12 principles of Japanese garden design. French in it's many uses. These are a few pictures to highlight some of the things i've been doing! Most recently to right before the last post. My friend from High School requested me to help him actualize an idea for his next tattoo. It's taken all term to finally get to this point, I also used this drawing as my art final which ment this version took 8 hours to create! This is the mid way point now it will be copied (by hand) to Velum then taken to a printer and printed out for the final version! This is the finished product on velum but not printed because the printer was broken at kinkos

Trip home and many many more trees!

Just got back from a little weekend trip to the island. It was filled with rich yummy foods and my wonderful mother! Also my boyfriend was hard to get rid of after he tasted some of the food ;) The following pic is of Ian and I just before I had to leave for Eugene. Mean while back in Eugene I've been busy learning over 84 trees so far. We have to learn Common names, Latin names and be able to identify a twig sans leaves from each tree. That's just for tests, we also learn growing habits, preferences and other fun facts. Here are some of the more colorful trees I've learned so far! (this is a great way to study) Although there seems to be a rain curse on the class hence the rainy day photo's... There have been the football games, the visit from my man back in WA, starting classes which are all great and the little moments around the quad i've come to treasure!
